Taser of Gator is Outrageous!!!!!

A young man, a student lawfully at a University of Florida function featuring Senator John Kerry, was tasered by University police. This is clearly excesive use of force by the police. Videotape confirmed that University police tasered the young student while he begged them not to. He was not violent, obnoxious and loud perhaps, but not violent. This is excessive use of force. Tasers are being overused by the police. If the officers involved can’t handle the job without resort to weapons they need to get another job. This is also a freedom of speech issue. Why make a public forum, with questions permitted to the speaker, and then forcefully stop the questions? The University needs to take steps to make sure this never happens again.
