A California Court has renewed a $33.5 million civil judgment awarded against O.J. Simpson for a civil finding that he was guilty of the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. Simpson tried to claim that a California Court could not reinstate the award because he now lives in Florida. The argument was rejected by the California Appeals Court. If not reinstated the verdict (now grown to $40 million with interest) would have expired on March 10. The civil award was a wrongful death action intended to compensate the victims’ families and to punish Simpson.
