It was reported that a teenage girl from Groveland, FL was hit and killed early Friday morning.  The young teen had an argument with family members and left the house.  She was apparently walking back home at around 3 a.m. when she was fatally struck.  Florida Highway Patrol believes the hit and run vehicle to be a 2006 or 2007 Nissan Xterra which  they determined from paint chips and pieces of headlight found at the scene.  The teen was discovered by someone passing by this morning around 6:00 am

FHP believes someone who lives near the accident site was the driver of the Xterra because the road is usually travelled only by folks living in the immediate vacinity.  FHP is asking for everyone’s help in finding the hit and run driver.
