Dan Rather Sues CBS For Millions

Dan Rather, the beleaguered former anchor for CBS news filed a lawsuit against his former employer for seventy million dollars. In the suit Rather alleges that CBS left him out to dry as the scapegoat for the widely discredited news story attacking the Vietnam era military record of President Bush. Rather claims the network set him up as the fall guy for the story and that damaged the reputation of Mr. Rather and caused the 75 year old extensive financial losses. The next time the press squawks about a lawsuit seeking millions of dollars for personal injury damages to a dead or severely injured little guy, perhaps they will look at themselves and wonder how Mr. Rather can claim millions for damages to his reputation. My guess is that he does not need the money to pay medical bills!!
