Tuesday morning, September 11th  south of Sarasota a helicopter crashed into the Gulf of Mexico in an area where the water was approximately 20 feet deep.  The occupants were doing a video shoot for a boating magazine.

Several boats in the area attempted to rescue the victims of the crash,  All three occupants on board were pulled from the wreckage.  Two of the occupants were transported to hospitals.  For one, it was too late – he was pronounced dead once on shore.

The associated press report printed in the Orlando Sentinel did not report any mechanical or design defect in the helicopter, pilot error, or any other cause of the crash.
