An Oviedo man was killed and his son severally injured when they were involved in a boating collision off Port Canaveral early Sunday morning. They were on an overnight fishing trip when, at around 6:40a.m., another boat driven by a man from Merritt Island and carrying two others hit them. No one from this boat was injured. The father was knocked out and the son suffered an injury to his legs. A rescue ensued and it was not able to revive the father.
