Baby’s Bliis Gripe Water, Apple Flavor, is being recalled by MOM Enterprises, Inc. due to the Cryptosporidium infection.  This infection has been diagnosed in a 6-week old infant who was given the drink.  Symptoms of this infection include watery diahhrea, dehydration, weight loss, stomach cramps, fever, nausea and vomiting.

The drink has the label Baby’s Bliss. Pediatrician Recommended Gripe Water, Apple Flavor, and the infected product has a code 26952V and an expiration date of 10/08.  The supplemental drink is given to infants and toddlers for gas pains and stomach cramps due to colic, hiccups and teething.  It is recommended that children who have had this drink and experience the symptoms should be taken to the doctor immediately.  Of course any unused product should be thrown out.
