Twenty seven (27) people were killed over the Thanksgiving Holiday in auto accidents investigated by the Florida Highway Patrol.  Despite both the law and common knowledge, many of those killed were not wearing their seatbelts.   In fact, 80% of those killed in vehicles equipped with safety belts were not wearing the seat belts!  Additional tidbits are that there were 26 fatal crashes, 15 of which occurred at night.  Once again this is a reminder that during the holidays there are extra people traveling, so you must be extra careful when driving.
