Over 10 million Fisher Price toys were recalled on September 30, 2010, after the Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) declared them unsafe due to health hazards ranging from choking to shockingly, "genital bleeding."
The recall includes:
2.8 million Baby Playzone toys, including, the Crawl & Cruise Playground and the Crawl and Slide Arcade
7 million Fisher Price Toddler Tricycyles
1 million High Chairs
100,000 Fisher Price Wheelies Stand and Play Rampway
The CPSC reported incidences of children needing stitches after falling against pegs located on the back of the highchair and of children almost choking on plastic valves that had become detached from the inflatable balls.
The tricycles were recalled due to reports of serious injuries, including genital bleeding caused by children falling or sitting on the protruding plastic ignition key.
The CPSC warned that consumers "should stop using the recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed."
