A Florida court recently found Yamaha Motor Corporation USA at fault in a products liability case after a boating accident, which resulted in the wrongful death of a 14-year-old girl. Two riders on a Yamaha Jet Ski lost control and were thrown off the watercraft. The young girl was killed and the other passenger, a 15-year-old boy, severely injured. The family had rented the Jet Ski.

Prosecuting attorneys showed that Yamaha had been warned on several occasions about a faulty steering system, which can cause riders to lose control. Yamaha has a responsibility here to protect the consumer. They failed to address this issue, even after it had been brought to their attention more than once.

Yamaha could foresee an accident happening and failed to act. Have you or a loved one been injured or killed as a result of a defective product?
