According to state records, Orlando’s big theme parks reported six major guest injuries during the final three months of 2009. Four injuries were reported at Walt Disney World: a 59-year-old became dizzy and tripped while exiting the Tomorrowland Speedway, injuring his knee; a 61-year-old woman who rode Dinosaur and had a seizure; a 27-year-old man who rode Expedition Everest and had a seizure; and a 74-year-old man who fainted and hit his head after riding Star Tours.

Universal Studios reported two injuries: a 29-year-old woman vomited riding Dueling Dragons, and a 40-year-old man experienced chest pain riding Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit.

No injuries were reported at Seaworld, Wet ‘n Wild, or Busch Gardens Tampa.

I have previously blogged about the lack of reporting at the big theme parks. Florida and the Federal Government both give the major theme parks in Florida a free ride when it comes to reporting accidents in injuries. Although six injuries were reported, we have no way of knowing whether this is the true figure.
