Tourist Dies at Disney

Comments Off

A tourist who slipped outside a restaurant at Disney’s Magic Kingdom died. The 72 year old man, who remains unidentified, was enjoying a fun day at the theme park when he fell. He was rushed to the hospital and died the next day. With theme park tickets as high as they are, a trip to the theme park should be a safe and fun time for a family. Theme parks owe a duty to tourists to maintain a safe environment, especially since their customers are usually on a hard earned, expensive family vacation. Failure to do so could result in tragedy. While theme parks are not insurers of safety they are held to a standard of reasonable care. They must keep their property free of dangerous conditions and they have a duty to warn the customers of dangerous conditions.
