Start Spring Cleaning With EPASS Shredding and Electronics Recycling

Comments Off

Do you have boxes of personal documents such as tax returns, paystubs or medical records that you don’t need but don’t want to spend all that time with your personal shredder? What about the computer or laptop in the garage that doesn’t work but you know you can’t just toss in the trash?

The EPASS group of the Expressway Authority in Orlando is having their second shredding and electronic recycling event this Saturday, February 20th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Colonial Plaza on Colonial Drive (Hwy 50). They said to look for the bright orange tents. To make certain you don’t waste a trip, here is the list of items that will be accepted:

The following electronics will be accepted, working or not working: desktop, tower, laptop computers; CRT, LCD, plasma monitors/displays; printers/plotters; fax machines; telephone systems, switches; cell phones, PDAs, radios; stereos; VHS/DVDs; video games; projectors, cameras; any kind of storage media. At this time, we CANNOT accept TVs.

According to their website, the shredding and recycling will be done by certified destruction companies who can provide you with a certificate of destruction if you need it. You can find more information about the destruction process on the website, or you can call them at 407-690-5000.
