Comments Off

The Wall St. Journalcites a study published in the American College of Cardiology that certain drugs are proven to be more effective than cardiac stents in improving blood flow through the coronary arteries in patients who were stable after a heart attack. The study also contends that for those with serious heart disease, stents may be less effective than the traditinal bypass surgery the stents were supposed to replace. This finding may prove to save millions of dollars in healthcare costs.
